Train with the Pros – Featuring Leo Fernandes
Leo Fernandes enjoyed a remarkable professional career across Major League Soccer (MLS) and the USL Championship, earning a reputation as one of the league’s most versatile and impactful midfielders. After being drafted by the Philadelphia Union in 2013, Fernandes quickly showcased his creativity and work ethic, contributing both in MLS competition and throughout successful loan spells. His standout professional years came with the Tampa Bay Rowdies, where he became a fan favorite and one of the USL’s most dynamic players. In 2022, he was named the USL Championship MVP, a testament to his elite technical ability, consistency, and leadership on the field.
This year, the soccer community celebrated Fernandes’ well-deserved retirement after more than a decade of excellence. His transition into the next chapter of his career is already making an impact. Fernandes now serves as a Head Scout for the Tampa Bay Rowdies and contributes to the U.S. Men’s National Team scouting network, helping identify and shape the next generation of American talent.

This is a unique chance for players to learn directly from a proven professional, someone who has played at the highest levels of American soccer and now helps select players for professional and national team pathways.
